Yeah, lol.
The funnier thing is that after spending countless hours with Ubuntu, I installed Vista over it again because things in Ubuntu break too often and I don't have the time to fix it.

I have a HP Pavilion too, and I have to say HP service is about the worst I have ever come across (i've been having problems with my laptop too) thanks for the tip :)

Service from most big companies suck! But it's the investors and board of directors to blame. From a maximizing-profits perspective, there's simply no reason to offer great (keyword: great) service if you're a big company with a huge customer base. The customers you lose due to bad service is marginal compared to the savings you get from offering sub-par service.
Good service people are hard to find! Who wants to deal with angry people everyday?
